Liverpool Vs Roma: Whose magic will work tonight?


Liverpool may have had history of being arguably the most successful team in England. Having won the Champions’ League cup for five times ie 1977, 1978, 1981, 1984 and 2005 they are no strangers to the world of Champions’ League. Roma, on the other hand, have won no Champions’ League cup before, the closest they have been is losing the cup at the finals to Liverpool in 1984. So in tonight’s game, the question on everyone lips is “Can Roma beat Liverpool to progress to the final stage of the Champions’ League?”

Let’s take a look at this intriguing statistics. Overall, Liverpool has played Roma seven times and in these encounters, they have won two of them, drawn one and lost four of the matches. Roma is third trailing behind Juventus and Napoli who have sadly being evicted from the Premier League just as in the case of England where Liverpool is trailing behind both Manchester City and Manchester United who both have being evicted from the Champions’ League. Unlike Liverpool, Roma is not in a very comfortable position as any loss in the Seria A match could see them not playing in the next season Champions’ League if they are to be evicted from the Champions’ League.

So tonight, all eyes are on these two teams who have gone against all odds to surprise everyone in this season of the Champions’ League. Importantly, will Mohammed Salah do what he knows how to do best tonight?
